Final Year Project 2 - ‘Kiwi Flight’ (2018)

A game made for my final year Game Development project module, which required us to create a game in 3 months.

 

This game was solely created with two people, consisting of a fellow classmate and myself. 

About

KiwiFlight is a 2D, Platformer, Metroidvania game, made with the Unity Engine, taking heavy inspiration from Hollow Knight, Ori and the Blind Forest, Maplestory, and the works of H.P Lovecraft.

Story

A Kiwi looks upon the sky, with dreams to fly, and one day gets a chance to make its dreams a reality when it gets tossed into a world of forgotten warriors and broken dreams.

Art Contributions:

  • Every Art asset​ seen in the game (aside from audio, and some of the visual effects)

  • 2D frame-by-frame Character animations (Player, NPCs, Dialogue Interaction)

  • 2D Bone Animations (Rigging and Animating) for Enemies and Bosses

  • Hand-drawn Art assets (Environment, Interactables, Particles, Lighting, Cutscenes)

  • Map Decoration (Placing down the assets)

  • UI design and assets

  • Interactables (Melons, Statues, etc..)

Programming Contributions:

  • Basic Player movement

  •  Audio Manager

Studio Project 3 - ‘Candy World’ (2016-2017)

Second year, first semester game, which required us to create a game in 2.5 weeks. Done with a team of 4 people.

About

Candy World is a 3D, top-down, point-and-click, tower-defense game, where the player has to manage their time, resources and minions to defend their tower while trying to reach the enemy's tower and destroy it to advance to the next level.

This game was made with Visual Studios, OpenGL, using the C++ programming language.

Art Contributions:

  • All Art assets​ seen in trailer (aside from music and sound effects)

  • Cake Base, Troops, Turrets, Trees
